Ring in the New Year with .... Dog Scarfs????

Well, it has been awhile since I have given any updates ... I guess there really hasn't been much to report.  Kidney Beans is closed until after the holidays.  However, here is a cute dog scarf that I have been making for people.  They even have a "sleeve" under the scarf to put the collar through so it doesn't slip off.  Instrested??? Contact me after the holidays, and I would love to make one for your dog :)

In case you are wondering, this adorable dog belongs to my brother and sister-in-law :)

Medically, there is nothing new to report.  We are still trying to figure out what is making Lily feel so terribly so prayers wisdom would greatly be appreciated.

We will be traveling this weekend to a church in Malta, Texas (aka. the middle of NO where) for John to preach.  They are looking to possibly call him as their pastor.  We covet your prayers as we begin this process.  We wish everyone a wonderful holiday season ...... and don't forget your pooch ... I would love to spruce him/her up ... after the holidays :)

Dish Towel Fundraiser

Even though the hospital wrote off thousands and thousands of dollars for us we still have doctor's fees, path labs, and radiology bills!  I am doing a dish towel fundraiser to help pay for these.  Through the end of October I am selling embroidered dish towels for $6.00 each (plus shipping - if you don't live in the Metroplex)!  ALL proceeds will go towards these medical bills!  My goal is to be medical bill free by January 1st!!!!  SO, do your Christmas shopping and help out a good cause!  I will still do all other products if you are more interested in those!!!!  My newest item is a embroidered dog scarf!!!! It actually loops through the collar to keep it secure --- even your pet needs a Christmas present, right? :) ... Working on a demo of this now!!!

Medical update -- The boys are stable and will go for there yearly check-ups next year.  Dalton will go in March, and we will probably have to decide at that point whether or not to go ahead with the surgery for him.  William will go for his check-up in June!  Lily has an upcoming appointment with her GI in a few weeks.  She has seen some improvement but not as much as we had hoped.  Plus, she is having some other issues we will be discussing with the doctor!

You can Facebook message me or email me missaann628@yahoo.com to place your order!!!!  Get your unique Christmas gifts and help out a GREAT cause!!!!!

Girly Bean!

Every post so far has been about my two boys ..... I now have a girly bean except there is nothing to do with the kidneys!  Lily has been having bowel trouble for several weeks.  On Thrusday (right after we got home from Dalton's urology check-up) Lily goes to the bathroom and starts screaming for me.  I run to the bathroom and there is blood everywhere.  All over the toliet paper the potty seat, etc.  I call the pediatrician and they sent us to Cook's ER. They x-rayed her found no blockages and we were sent home with a referal to GI. We go on Monday to see a GI specialist .... the ER doc said he thinks she migt have some polyups in her colon but because of her age it is highly unlikely they will be cancerous.  We have also since found out the Crohn's disease is in the family.  So, I assume these are both possibilities.  She will be scheduled for a colonoscophy and we will know more on Monday.

OK > so here is my etsy link so you can see some of my products :) I have a REALLY cute bandana bib I will be adding soon ... so excited about this one

Dalton's check-up was encouraging.  The right kidneys have returned to normal ... PRAISE GOD!!!! The left ones have improved but not enough at this point.  Surgery is an option but not mandatory.  We choose to repeat testing in March.  If blood levels are bad again or kidney function has decreased then the surgery will no longer be an option.  But for now he is a healthy and active 2-year old!!!!

Just please pray that God will give us some relief from all the medical issues that keep plaguing our kids.  We know God has a plan and we are trying to trust in that!  But we are tired and I am emotionally spent.

Burps and Boys !!!

If this is your first time to visit Kidney Beans .. then WELCOME!!! Please take a minute to scroll through previous posts to view samples of products and learn more about my 2 youngest boys!!!

Football season is here and so are burp cloths!!!!

I can do most teams!!! Not into football? No problem, I can also do lots of cute prints for boyus and girls!! For a cloth with just a name they are $6.00 and for the material, ribbon, and name, they are $10.00.

UPDATE on the boys!  At our last urologist appointment, Dalton's creatinne levels had dropped from 0.7 to 0.43 (0.4 is normal for a 2 year old).  The urolgists was uncertain as to why ... we knew it was an answer prayer -- no other explaination needed!!! His BUN levels were 90 (24 is normal) but he wasn't overly conderned with that.  Dalton goes in on Tuesday to have a VCUG procedure. This is HUGE!! If he has outgrown some of the reflux, then he will go to the same status as Will with yearly monitoring.  However, if it is the same he could be looking at a major surgery where they would go into his bladder and run tubes from inside his bladder to his kidneys to help offset the beating of the relux on his kidneys.  Please pray that the reflux has deminshed!!!!!

ON A FINAL NOTE:  Christmas is just around the corner!! Everyone LOVES stuff with their name on it!! Get your order in today for those unique Christmas gifts -- dish towels, bath towels, kids items -- I would LOVE to create something for you or a loved one!!!!

Products and Prayers

I have a small update on the boys and then some new products to post!!!!!  William had a great check-up.   His kidney condition will, Lord willing, only require yearly sonos and check-ups providing there are no infections!!!!!  Dalton goes tomorrow to his new urologist!!!  I am so excited and thankful that he will be seeing the same doctor now as William.  Dalton did not get good blood work results, so we won't know till tomorrow what the future holds for his kidney health.  So, please remember him in your prayers!!!

The following are some new items.  The first picture is dish towells for men -- completely my daughter's idea :)!   I can now embroider my travel/reading pillows.  And the last item is a shirt I made for a friend of mine who is a lactation consultant --- for her son!

Sunday, June 26, 2011

As some of you know William, our youngest, had surgery on Monday, June 21st!!  He came through the surgery just fine.  We came home and began recovery.  However, after a couple of hours of being home, he began to bleed heavily.  We called the urologist and he said get to the ER quick because they might have to go in and do a second surgery.  We got to Cook's Childrens, and they began to check him over.  He was still bleeding.  We had sent out messages to family and friends from our Sunday School class to pray for Will.  The ER doctor said he would give us 30 more minutes to watch the bleeding and then we would be admitted if it didn't stop.  The doctor came in and checked him ... there was NO bleeding!!!!  God answered our prayers and we came home!!!! He is doing well now.  Still a little sore but back to being a happy little baby!!!!!

I have added a few of my recent projects!  All proceeds from the sales of my items go towards our medical bills!!!!!  The bath towels are cost of towels (unless you provide your own) and the embroidery is $1.00 per letter.  The dish towels are 4 for $30.00.  You let me know colors, font, etc. and I will custom make them for you!!!!

William and New Products

Well, I finally have some products to post!  Hopefully I will add a few more this evening!  I am making travel pillows for all that summer travel!!!  These are great for adults and for kids while in their car seats!!!!

William will undergo surgery on Monday, June 20, 2011.  We are asking for prayer for a safe and healthy surgery and a speedy recovery.  Also, for John and I as we try to juggle life while taking care of William. As anyone can imagine this surgery will be very expensive so all procedes for everything ordered from kidney beans will go to help with our expenses.

Why Kidney Beans????

I know that Kidney Beans is quite a funny name for an embroidery business.  The name for this project is for my two youngest sons, Dalton and William.  Dalton was born with duplicated kidneys all which have reflux.  One set does not function fully and just recently his blood work did not come back as well as we had hoped.  William was also born with kidney reflux as well as a birth defect that will require surgery in June.  To state the obivious all these medical issues have been very costly!!! Therefore, we created  Kidney Beans Embroidery to help pay off current medical bills and future ones. We would like to pay off these bills to free up our finances for ministry!  This is in the early stages and I will be posting pics, more info., updates on the boys, etc.  Right now I am just trying to get the word out!!! Thanks for taking the time to check us out!
